What's the Difference between
NetLibrary and ListenNJ?
Both NetLibrary and ListenNJ support iPods,
iPhones and devices that play DRM-protected Windows Media Audio files
(Creative Zen, Sony Walkman, etc.).
If you have a Mac, you can only use ListenNJ.
If you have a PC, check NetLibrary for the book you would like first
(since its titles are always available). If it's not available
there, then check ListenNJ (which has just as many audiobooks, but you
may have to wait your turn to download them).
You can check out more audiobooks with NetLibrary
(10 at a
time versus 5) than with ListenNJ and keep them longer (21 days vs. 10
days). ListenNJ allows some audiobooks to be burned to
CD.
NetLibrary does not. Getting
Started with NetLibrary 1. NetLibrary only works on a PC. If you have a
Mac, scroll down for instructions on using ListenNJ.

installs Windows updates first, repeat this step after the Windows
updates are done.

with your NetLibrary username and password. Click Remember Me.
9. If you have an iPod, after you click Search or Browse, change All to
MP3.
10. Click on the title you would like. Plug in your MP3 player and
click
Transfer to Portable Device.
11. If you have a WMA device and you get an error when you try to
transfer a WMA audiobook to your device, this means your device does
not support digital rights management (probably because it's
old). You can go to the device manufacturer's web site and
download a firmware update for your device, if one is available, and
then try again. Even if this does not work, you can still
download MP3
audiobooks from NetLibrary.
12. The next time you want to download an audiobook, open up the
NetLibrary
Media Console using the icon on your desktop.
NetLibrary Checkout Policy
You can have a maximum of 10 titles checked out at one time.
Audiobooks check out for 21 days. You cannot return a book early. If
you download an audiobook in the MP3 file format, it will remain
playable for as long as you leave it on your player. If you
download a WMA audiobook, the audiobook will remain on your player
forever, but won't play after the 21 days are up.
