BHPL Book Groups

BHPL offers book groups for adults: “Books Speak Volumes”, the Morning Book Group, the Evening Book Group, the Mayor’s Wellness Book Club, and the Joy of Cookbooking Club. Scroll down for more information about each book group. There is also a book group for teens, see the Teen Events page.

“Books Speak Volumes” Book Group

The Books Speak Volumes group usually meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. Check the list of previous Books Speak Volumes reading selections here.

The April meeting will be on Thursday, May 16 at 7 pm to discuss Road to Surrender: three men and the countdown to the end of World War II by Evan Thomas. Some print copies of Road to Surrender are available for checkout; stop by or contact the Circulation Desk at (908) 608-8603 x1. Check Libby for eBook copies.

Friday Morning Book Group

The Morning book group usually meets the first Friday of each month at 10:30 am. Check the list of previous morning book group reading selections here.

The May meeting will be on Friday, May 3 at 10:30 am to discuss Changing Planes by Ursula Le Guin.
Changing Planes is available as an eAudiobook on both hoopla and Libby.

Tuesday Evening Book Group

The Evening book group usually meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:15 pm. Check the list of previous evening book group reading selections here.

The May meeting will be on Tuesday, May 14 at 7:15 pm to discuss Fly Girl by Ann Hood. Fly Girl is on Libby as an eBook and as an eAudiobook on hoopla.
